Development Coordinator - Fundraising Specialist
Part-time (Flexible 10-15 hours/week)

The Lake Bluff Public Library Foundation is seeking a part-time fundraising specialist to assist in the growth of a vibrant annual giving program through the planning and development of a major capital campaign. This will include the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors, event planning and Foundation administration tasks.

  • * Plan and initiate an effective annual giving program.
  • * Identify, cultivate and solicit individual major gifts.
  • * Track donations and expenses.
  • * Assist in preparation of materials for fundraising campaign.
  • * Assist in organizing campaign events.
  • * Work effectively with volunteer leadership.

  • * College degree strongly preferred, advanced degree desirable.
  • * Familiarity with basic computer operations and Microsoft Word.
  • * Strong communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • * Ability to recruit and work effectively with volunteers and board members.
  • * Previous fundraising and not-for-profit experience preferred.
  • * Grant writing experience considered favorably.
