Development and Donor Relations
Part-time (Flexible 10-15 hours/week)

The Lake Bluff Public Library Foundation is seeking a part-time professional to assist in the growth of a vibrant annual giving program and to take a leadership role in the successful planning and execution of a major capital campaign. A major role of this position will include the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and volunteer leadership. We seek candidates who welcome the opportunity to build a program and initiate activities and programs that will lead to successful results.

  • * Plan and initiate an effective annual giving program
  • * Identify, cultivate and solicit individual major gifts
  • * Track donations and expenses
  • * Assist in preparation of materials for fundraising campaign
  • * Assist in organizing campaign events
  • * Work effectively with volunteer leadership

  • * College degree preferred
  • * Familiarity with basic computer operations and Microsoft Word
  • * Strong communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • * Ability to recruit and work effectively with volunteers and board members
  • * Previous fundraising and not-for-profit experience preferred.
  • * Grant writing experience considered favorably
  • * Ability to work indendently and in coordination with the Foundation Board
  • * Event planning experience desirable
