Gifts & Donations

Gifts and donations of all sizes are welcomed and acknowledged by the Library. Please read the following for more information on gifts and donations.

Donations of Books and Other Materials
If you are looking for a new home for your new or like-new books, the Library may be able to help. Due to our limited space, we are generally unable to accept donations of large numbers of books or other materials. Please call the Library during normal operating hours to see if we are able to accommodate your donation. All material gifts and donations become property of the Lake Bluff Library for use at its discretion.

Commemorative Donations
If you would like to honor someone special, consider making a donation to the Library in their name. These gifts can be commemorated with a special bookplate honoring your loved one and acknowledging your gift. Contact the Library for more information about making a commemorative donation.

The Friends of the Lake Bluff Public Library
Donations are also accepted on behalf of the Library through the Friends of the Library, a 501 (c) 3 organization. For more information about the Friends, please click here.

Tax Deductions
Donations to the Library are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Library can provide a letter acknowledging donations of physical materials.
