Winter Reading Club

Let it Snow Winter Reading Club

Welcome to Winter Reading Club!

Winter Reading Club will run from 12/7-1/31 for all ages

There’s snow better way to spend a winter day than with a good book! Winter Reading Club is starting in December, and readers of all ages can sign up, log their winter reading adventures, and dive into a flurry of Library programs to earn prizes. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Bluff Library.

How to Participate

Complete up to 25 tickets
Start with a goal of 5 activity badges! Adults and teens who complete 5 activities will receive a $5 gift card to Hansa Coffee Roasters, plus raffle tickets for a chance to win additional prizes. Children will also earn a special prize and raffle tickets. Keep reading and collecting badges—everyone can earn up to 25 activity badges and gather even more raffle tickets along the way!

Any kind of reading counts—and attending programs, too!
All reading counts: whether it’s a print book, an ebook, an audiobook, or even reading a book to someone else. You can also count attendance at Lake Bluff Library programs towards your Winter Reading Club goal.

Reading Logs

There are two ways to participate in Winter Reading Club: you can sign up and track your reading through Beanstack (either online or through the Beanstack app) or you can use a paper log (we'll have copies available at the Library as well).

How do I sign up for Beanstack?
If you’ve used Beanstack before, just log into the website or app using your old credentials.

If you’re new and signing up through the website, just click “Register an Individual or Family” and follow the prompts.

If you’re new and registering through the app, tap Yes on the home screen, and then search for the Lake Bluff Library. Tap Sign Up on the login screen and follow the prompts.

Once you’re logged in, you can register you and your family for the 2024-2025 Winter Reading Challenge!
