Run for Library Trustee
Do you love Lake Bluff Library? Are you motivated by public service and want to support the Lake Bluff community? Then, we need you to run for office as an elected Library Board Trustee!
Requirements
- Be a registered voter
- Have been a resident of the Village of Lake Bluff for at least one year prior to the election
- Be at least 18 years of age by April 1, 2025
Duties
As a member of the Lake Bluff Library Board of Trustees, you will:
- Attend Meetings: Participate in all regular monthly meetings, special meetings, and relevant board committee meetings.
- Collaborate and Govern: Work with fellow Board members to carry out governing and advisory roles, engage in strategic discussions about opportunities and challenges, and develop plans for the Library’s short- and long-term health and goals.
- Decision-Making: Contribute to the decision-making process, including establishing Library policies and goals.
- Monitor and Steward: Oversee the budget and expenses, and act as a steward of public resources, serving the community’s best interests.
Trustee positions are nonpartisan and offer a valuable opportunity to enhance the Library’s impact on the community.
