Request an Item
There are several ways to search and request materials through the Library.
Choose from the Library's Collection
You can log into your online account and place a hold request for just about any item in our collection.
Interlibrary Loan
If we don't own a title, you might be able to borrow it from another library using Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Please note that you must be a Lake Bluff Library cardholder in order to place an ILL request.
Search WorldCat
If you'd like to search for an item but don't know what library might have it, then WorldCat is the way to go!
Suggest a Purchase
Is there something you think the Library should have in its collection? Let us know! While we can't guarantee every item will be added, we carefully consider all suggestions. If you’re looking to suggest an ebook or eaudiobook, follow the instructions to suggest it through Libby.
Request Materials for Classroom Use
If you are a teacher at a Lake Bluff school and need multiple copies of one book for a student book discussion or another part of your lesson plan, the Lake Bluff Library is here to help.
