Donations of Books and Other Materials

Due to our limited space, the Library is not currently able to accept donations of books or other materials.

Commemorative Donations

If you would like to honor someone special, consider making a donation to the Library in their name. These gifts can be commemorated with a special bookplate honoring your loved one and acknowledging your gift. Contact the Library for more information about making a commemorative donation.

The Friends and the Foundation

Donations to support the Library are accepted through the Friends of the Lake Bluff Library, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Friends primarily provide funding for furnishings, equipment, and programming to enhance the Library's services and resources.

Tax Deductions

Donations to the Library are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Library can provide a letter acknowledging donations of physical materials.
